Products & solutions

Challenge 1

Choosing one DAM that supports work processes and future needs

As the need to integrate with other systems grew, while Blomsterlandet wanted to reduce manual work and avoid images and films being spread across different applications, became a modern DAM crucial for supporting both current processes and future initiatives.

Blomsterlandet also wanted to leave its client/server-based DAMplatform and take the leap to the cloud. As a mature DAMusers therefore chose their fourth generation DAM-solution on Bynder.

One of the challenges was to maintain existing integrations with Inriver PIM and at the same time create new solutions for distributing images directly from DAM to the new ERP system, IFS

Challenge 2:

Add the kit between the systems that will lift the whole.

Our mission

  • Moving all media material to Bynder
Migration of images, documents and moving material along with metadata from existing DAM to Bynder.
  • Optimized integration with Inriver PIM
Order flows for media files were improved and integration with Inriver PIM was deepened, which led to more effective product information and simplified handling of various media.
  • Bulk upload and migration of vendor images
We created support for mass uploading of supplier images related to ERP, including migration of item data and images from legacy systems.
  • “Single Source of Truth” with automated flows
By introducing the "Single Source of Truth" principle - a unified, quality-assured source for data and automation-driven tagging and links, work processes were streamlined.

Zitac is always keen to ensure the best possible functionality based on our needs and does so with a wonderful commitment which is greatly appreciated.

The process

To succeed with a project of this magnitude, preparatory work is required together with the stakeholders involved. In workshops, needs are defined and solutions are specified. Each part of the process requires its own implementation plan. Migrations and integrations are mapped out and execution is ensured.

Together with the customer's organization, a taxonomy is established. The structure of information (metadata) that forms the basis for searchability and the user experience in Bynder DAM. For Blomsterlandet The work also resulted in metadata being linked to rights groups, with filters for who can see what and do what in the system. Work processes that maximize the effect of a modern DAM for the organization were identified and adapted.

Challenge 3:

Implement true “Single Source of Truth” between DAM, PIM and ERP.

Directly consume more with smart integrations

Bynder DAM as the hub of media management
To manage and store digital media files throughout their entire lifecycle – from uploading to archiving – the choice fell on Bynder DAMThanks to Bynders powerful API interface, both internal and external systems can be easily integrated, and unique processes are supported for those who require that little extra.

"Single Source of Truth" in practice
Blomsterlandet have long applied the “Single Source of Truth” philosophy for images. Now they’ve taken it a step further by letting each system “own” its data and subscribe to the information they need from each other. DAM provides PIM and ERP with image links and metadata, while DAM retrieves product information from PIM for better searchability. This integration-driven tagging saves time, avoids duplication of work and shortens lead times.

Direct links instead of double storage
A big advantage is that the integrations do not store files in multiple places, but instead provide direct links to images, videos and other media material in BynderIt provides a seamless, efficient and secure file delivery from Bynders CDN (Content Delivery Network) to all external channels.

Automated formats and cropping
Today, five out of Blomsterlandets system its files directly from Bynder CDN. An added bonus is the ability to define “presets” for different needs, so that the system automatically gets the right format, cropping and focus point. When a new version is uploaded to DAM it becomes immediately available in all channels – without any manual handling.

"With Bynder We not only have a user-friendly place for all our media files, but also automated processes set up with Zitac Solutions' integration platform. Together, it makes our employees' everyday lives easier and streamlines "time to market" in integrations to Inriver PIM, e-commerce, signage systems and Ifs ERP.”

Being able to work with Adobe Creative Cloud directly against Bynder DAM supports the same philosophy. Using third-party software LinkrUI, graphic designers assemble images and videos from within Adobe apps directly from BynderNo need for sub-storage or local servers.

Image ordering process in Inriver
Thanks to the integration with Inriver PIM employees can easily place an image order directly in Inriver. The order is then forwarded to Bynder, where image administrators manage and provide the images with relevant metadata. When the order is linked to an image, it is automatically linked to the correct product in Inriver – without any manual intervention.

Supplier portal and ERP sync
A dedicated upload portal makes it easy for suppliers to share their images, while item and supplier information is synced from the ERP. The integrations also dynamically feed images to the ERP system, keeping all data up to date in real time.

In addition, a “portal” can be opened directly from within other systems with Bynder Compact View, so editors and e-commerce managers can quickly find and link to the right images.
